My New Arm Candy: Vivienne Westwood

Happy Friday you lovely lot!

If you have read this jewellery post then you will be quite aware that I am a sucker for all things Vivienne Westwood, I have been for a good few years now. It started off with jewellery but then I ventured into bags.

Whilst having a little online browse last week, I came across this beaut of a bag from Flannels, on offer at £165 instead of £225. It was one of those bags that you just can't stop thinking about and always go back to. That's when you know they are the bags worth having  They pretty much have this identical bag on sale now at full price and all I can think is that this is last seasons stock, with a slightly different lining.
I have fancied a smaller bag, with a chain handle that's not a clutch, for quite some time now. Especially as I have a much bigger Vivienne Westwood handbag. Of course I would absolutely love a Chanel bag, but there is just no way that my budget would ever stretch that far, so for now I am more than happy with my new Vivienne Westwood bag.

The style of this bag is the Vivienne Westwood Frilly Snake Shoulder Bag. There is quite a few different bags and purses in this range.

Since it arrived only a few days ago, I have literally used it everyday since. I just cant get enough of it.

My most favourite purchase in such a long time.

This bag is pretty much identical here.

The Most Perfect Pyjamas?

I have just stumbled upon these most amazing Pyjamas from Primark of all places and I just had to share them with you. Who doesn't want to look like a giant stripey tub of popcorn? I know that i certainly do! I definitely need to hunt them down! That is my quest for the week! I contemplated splurging on a set that someone is selling on eBay, but for £20!
The top retails for £4 and the bottoms for £5. Fingers crossed I can get my hands on a pair!
Im pretty sure that Topshop do something extremely similar, for £26 but are sold out so I would happily settle for a Primark pair!

Flamingo Candles Spring 2015 Collection

I am a huge fan of the Flamingo Candles range. One of my favourites is the Vanilla Milk bottles which I keep at the side of my bed and it smells exactly as you would expect, so sweet and vanilla-y.

On Monday, Flamingo Candles are Launching their Spring 2015 collection of five new candles. Fragrances include Rose & Marshmallow, Raspberry & Salted Caramel, Mango & Dragonfruit, Green Apples, and Daisy.

Each candle has a burn time of 50 hours and is made with organic soy wax and a cotton wick, housed in classic jars.
Rose & Marshmallow
Floral and sugary, Rose & Marshmallow is the ultimate sweet combination.  Base notes of sandalwood, musk, rose and orchid blend with fruity mandarin, cherry and raspberry and creamy vanilla, coconut and marshmallow.
 Raspberry & Salted Caramel
Sweet and creamy, Raspberry & Salted Caramel is a delicious treat for the senses.  Fruity notes of raspberry blend with anise, buttercream and vanilla-based caramel.
 Mango & Dragonfruit
Exotic and punchy, Mango & Dragonfruit combines base notes of lily, rose and jasmine with fruity green leaf, peach schnapps, sweet orange, melon, mango and apple.
 Green Apples
Fresh and zesty, Green Apples is the ultimate feel-good scent.  Inspired by the Granny Smith apple it blends leafy green accords with citrus notes of lemon, mandarin, apple and melon.  A fruity delight!
 Daisy
Fresh and floral, Daisy opens with a touch of lemon and grapefruit with accords of green leaf, green violet, apple, pear and peach. Leading into a floral heart of jasmine, lily, rose, violet leaves and freesia on a base of sandalwood, cedarwood, amber, vanilla and sweet, powdery musks.
The scent I have definitely got my eye on is the rose and marshmallow. It sounds incredible!

Flamingo candles are available to buy from the Flamingo Candles Website, ASOS, Joy and Amazon.

A Match Made In Brow Heaven?

Hello lovelies!

I have been using tweezerman tweezers now for yeaaaars! They are literally a tweezer you will use once and never ever look back on, I promise you! I lost mine once and honestly when you have to use a ordinary pair you really realise just how amazing they actually are.

I use the Steel Tweezerman Slant tweezers* although I have used the mini version aswell. Quality wise I would say they are no different, at all. They both do exactly the same job just one is bigger and perfect if you have huge hands (like me!) to get a good hold of them.
I then introduced the Tweezerman Point tweezer* into my eyebrow routine after disregarding it for a long time and not really seeing much point in such a thin, sharp tweezer. Boy was I wrong. These tweezers are so perfect for just the tiniest of hairs, getting behind them and been able to pluck them out, with such ease. I wouldn't say they are essential, but together with the slant tweezers they work so work.
They are extremely sharp, and stay sharp. Mine are pretty much exactly as they were when I first started using them 3 years ago maybe? The same mini pair, before I introduced the full size steel tweezers.

Another of my brow loves is the Tweezerman brow comb* to gently comb through lashes, get them into shape so you can see where needs tweezing or cutting.

The slant tweezers are the original and best selling tweezers by Tweezerman and no wonder they have won so many awards.

The tweezers are honestly such an investment, they may set you back £20.95 or only £12.50 for the mini pair, however as soon as you use them you will instantly realise how much value for money they are.

They are available in many patterns, prints and colours. They pink pair are just adorable!
Are you a tweezerman fan?

Valentines Day

I have always loved Valentines Day, be it single, in a new or long term relationship I have always loved Valentines day. I have never been the type to hate it when single or feel bitter towards those spending it with the love of their lives. As cliche as it is I have always loved the day of love. For the past two Valentines days, I have been single, but that hasnt stopped me celebrating or spending it with those ladies I love.

This year was different, after my two year single slump, I have now been in a relationship for just short of a year with a person who has made me believe in love all over again and that phrase 'everything happens for a reason'.

The day started with all things heart shaped, balloons  crumpets and of course fried eggs. Food tastes so much better heart shaped.

Present wise, I chose the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette and Chanel D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Emerveille as my treats and Josh surprised me with a stunning personalised cheeseboard from Not On The Highstreet which was so thoughtful.

In return, I bought him tickets to see Michael McIntyre in Leeds in December, which he loved.
As it was our first Valentines day, Josh booked in to one of our favourite Italian restaurants in Wetherby, Sant Angelos, along with my mum and her partner. We have been before and the food is just out of this world, incredible. Authentic, good Italian food, my favourite. Ive never actually been out for a meal on Valentines day believe it or not, as it very rarely falls on a weekend or I have cooked. So it was lovely to be treated to a meal.

We went out early evening for a few glasses of prosecco, before moving on to the restaurant.
opted for my usual, the Chicken liver pate to start and a King Prawn and Chile Linguine for my main. As I am still on the healthy eating kick, desert wasn't even a option however I had a tiny slab of a white chocolate and strawberry cake I bought especially for Valentines.

It was such a perfect Valentines,  spent with people I love. Its not about presents, or meals out, as nice as they are. Its about surrounding yourself with the people you love and those that make you happy everyday of the year and not just the 14th February.

How did you spend Valentines Day?

MAC Faux Lipstick & Swatches: The Kylie Jenner Lip

MAC Faux lipstick is a lipstick I would usually have never even looked twice at I must admit. It wasn't until the Kyle Jenner craze and everyone went mental for MAC Brave lipstick and Soar lip liner however I haven't been able to get my hands on either. After scouring the internet for swatches and reviews tonnes of girls said Faux was similar if not prettier. I was pretty astounded to find out it was on stock on the MAC website so I went ahead and ordered.
It came this morning, along with a small sample of mascara and free delivery, so I was pretty impressed. I gave it a whirl this afternoon and boy am I in love already. Like seriously, where has this lipstick been all my life?
It is a satin formula so just glides on without feeling dry. Perfect! I find it looks quite dark and daunting in the tube but once applied to the lips its a more muted pinkish brown shade that is highly pigmented. There is no sheerness about this lipstick. Don't get me wrong Im not fully satisfied and wont stop until I get my hands on Brave to see how similar they really are.
If you use the code MACTREAT on the MAC Cosmetics website it will give you free next day delivery and a mini mascara sample.

What do you think of faux?

Juicy Couture Malibu Dual Rollerball

I'm a sucker for little roll on perfume pens that you can just throw in your bag and I am a even bigger lover of Juicy Couture fragrances so when I spotted this on Feel Unique I knew I had to add it to my bag.

I had never even smelt this perfume but from the description and my love of all Juicy scents, I knew that this would be right up my street and boy, I wasn't wrong.
There are two different sides to this rollerball, Couture La La Malibu (the pink side) and Juicy Couture Malibu (the orange side) with each one being 5ml so 10ml total.

Juicy Couture describes Couture La La Malibu as 'Sparkling mandarin notes are highlighted with sweet pink sugar, creating a radiant fragrance that captures the casual-luxe spirit of Los Angeles, California' and Malibu as 'Whimsical pink passion fruit merges with fresh sparkling jasmine, creating a radiant and enticing fragrance that captures the casual glamour of Los Angeles, California'. So as you can see both fragrances are light, sparkle and full of fruit and floral scents. Perfect!
The Rollerball retails for £9.50 for 10ml which I don't think is a bad price for both scents. Are full size 75ml bottles can be bought for £44 again, a reasonable price for a Juicy fragrance. Feel Unique also have a offer on where you get a free cosmetics bag with any Juicy Couture perfume purchase.

MAC Cinderella Collection

As a huge Disney lover, Cinderella has to be one of my all time favourites. It is such a classic, fairytale and I love a good ending where the princess gets her Prince Charming in the end.

For me, MAC and Cinderella go hand in hand, two of my favourite things in the world, joining forces and making such a stunning collection.

The packaging is light blue and pearlescent, in theme with Cinders princess dress and has gold writing.
The collection consists of 14 limited edition items, plus two permanent brushes and a mascara in Cinderella packaging.

MAC Cinderella Lipstick in 'Free as a butterfly'
a sheer golden nude lipstick £17
MAC Cinderella Lipstick in 'Royal Ball'
a nude pink lipstick £17
MAC Cinderella Lipglass in 'Happily Ever After'
A cool, shimmery pink lip gloss £16
MAC Cinderella Lipglass in 'Glass Slipper'
A sparkly, pink lip gloss £16
MAC Cinderella Eyeshadow Palette in 'Stroke of Midnight'
Shades include vapour, phloof!, omega, quarry, satin taupe and a stroke of midnight £38.50
MAC Cinderella Studio Eye Gloss
 Lightly Tauped £18.50
MAC Cinderella Studio Eye Gloss
Pearl Varnish £18.50
MAC Cinderella Fluidline
Black Little Bow £17
MAC Cinderella Fluidline
Macroviolet £17
MAC Cinderella Iridescent Pressed Powder
Coupe D'Chic £23
MAC Cinderella Glitter
Reflects Pearl £18.50
MAC Cinderella Pigment
Evil Stepmother £18.50
MAC Cinderella Pigment
Pretty It Up £18.50
MAC Cinderella Beauty Powder
Mystery Princess £23

As you can see the prices had had a little increase which is always the case with limited edition collections and packaging and personally I don't mind paying just that little bit extra for special edition, especially when it is Disney themed.

Top of my wishlist of course are both of the lipsticks, they look extremely wearable for everyday. Other than that I think I will pass. The eyeshadow palette looks pretty, however it contains 5 permanent shades with only one new shade in stroke of midnight, which is a dark plum with shimmer.

It is such a pretty and wearable collection where I am sure everyone will find something they want or suits and of course who doesn't love Cinderella?

The collection is available to buy in the UK from Harrods on the 6th March and nationwide from March 13th.

What are your picks?

A Most Peculiar Afternoon Tea At The Westin Hotel Dublin

As myself and the better half decided against Christmas presents this year as we were going to Dublin for four days over the New Year, I thought I would treat him to a prosecco afternoon tea to start 2015 off with a bang. After a little online searching of best places for Afternoon Tea in Dublin, I stumbled upon the Atrium Lounge after reading rave reviews, I went ahead and emailed and pretty much instantly my reservation was confirmed, perfect!
The pictures looked stunning, it wasn't till after that I realised it was actually a lounge in The Westin hotel, a wonderful looking 5 star hotel in the centre of Dublin. The menu looked incredible and even though Christmas had passed, one of the menus was still festive themed which I was pretty excited about.

Josh went for 'The most peculiar afternoon tea' option which is still available if you book for afternoon tea now alongside the traditional afternoon tea. Afternoon tea takes place from Sunday to Friday 2pm-6pm and from 1pm-6pm on Saturdays in the Atrium Lounge which is just situated upstairs in the hotel. We arrived for half past 1, our table was ready and friendly staff showed us to our table. The place filled up pretty quickly so I would definitely recommend booking well in advance. I think I booked for New Years day around 3 months before.

As I said, you can choose between two types of afternoon tea, the most peculiar afternoon tea is 30 euros and the traditional afternoon tea 28 euros with a glass of prosecco for a added 7 euros (which of course is the option i chose).

I was offered a choice of tea or coffee which were brought quickly, along with a cold glass of the sparkling goodness, and Josh had a Victorian Mojito with gin, served in a teapot, snazzy.
Soon after, two three tier stands arrived at our table jam packed with wonderful goodness. Away from the usual afternoon tea tradition of finger sandwiches and scones, the most peculiar afternoon tea stand housed pork cheek, prawn cocktail and beef to name a few, along with sweet treats.
The food tasted incredible, and we pretty much polished off the lot. We chatted and ate away a good couple of hours, in such beautiful surroundings and had a wonderful afternoon. I honestly couldn't recommend the hotel, or the afternoon tea choices more. I am a lover of Afternoon Teas and this is the best one I've had, by a long stretch of mile.
The bill came to 77 euros and that was with an extra drink each. Not bad for a stunning city centre 5 star hotel and wonderful food and drink. The company wasn't too bad either.

If you're ever in Dublin, the Westin hotel is where you need to spend an afternoon.
