Currently Loving: Dip Hem Dresses

Hello everyone,

I have recently been online shopping CRAZY at the minute, trying to buy lots of pretty new clothes for my holidays! I have been loving dip hem dresses at the moment! I have loved dip hem clothes for so so long, especially the skirts but because i have quite big hips they really dont flatter my figure at all however i ordered a couple of dip hem dresses to try from Topshop and i seriously have fallen in love. The material is chiffon and is quite floaty so it skims my hips perfectly.
I love that theyre longer at the back and dont have too much flesh on show which i really do like as i dont feel as exposed. I also love the cinched in waist because it accentuates my waist which is my smallest part.

They are both from Topshop. The plain black one which is available to buy from here is £42 (£37.80 with student discount) and the floral patterned one is available to buy from here and is £46 (£41.40 with student discount).

I know that i will get so much wear out of both of these dresses and its really making me want more!

What are your thoughts on the dip hem trend?

Stila In The Light Neutral Eyeshadow Palette & Swatches

Hello lovelies,

After lusting after it for absolutely months i recently won the Stila In The Light eyeshadow palette from the lovely Chloe over at Blush Crush who has a wonderful blog! I received it this morning and really couldnt wait to share it with you!
The palette houses 10 neutral eyeshadows, 4 of which are matte and 6 shimmer. Colours include -
Top Row
Bare (Matte), Kitten (Shimmer) Bliss (Matte) Sunset (Shimmer) Sandstone (Matte)
Bottom Row
Champagne (Shimmer), Glided Gold (Shimmer), Luster (Shimmer), Night Sky (Shimmer), Ebony (Matte)

My favourites out of the palette are of course the shimmers, especially Kitten, Champagne and Glided Gold. I also think that Sandstone (The darkest matte brown) will make an amazing eyebrow shade for me.

It also comes with a full size smude stick waterproof eyeliner in damsel which is a matte brown shade which again i will get a lot of use out of.
 Left Side
 Right Side
 Top Row Swatches
 Bottom Row Swatches
As you can probably tell from the swatches, the eyeshadows are extremely pigmented more so the shimmers than the matte shades and are extremely buttery soft to touch and incredibly creamy. The colour pay off is astounding and lovers of the Urban Decay Naked Palette and those of neutral eye make up really would be a fan of this palette.

I am in love, the shade range is amazing, the actual palette itself is compact and perfect for travel and will most definitely be accompanying me on holiday. I think at £25 it is an amazing price for 10 eyeshadows and a full size eyeliner and is easily comparable to the Naked palette.

The Stila In The Light Palette retails for £25 in the UK and is available to buy instore at Boots or online at Look Fantastic and ASOS.

Do you own this palette? If not, I think you need it in your life!

L'Occitane Candle For Sight

Hello,

L'Occitane is a brand i am a huge fan of and i really do love their lipsticks and floral scents.

This month they have released the L'Occitane Candle for sight which is a honey scented candle to help raise funds for the UK sight loss charity Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
100% of the proceeds from each and every sale of this candle will be donated to RNIB to support its Trainee Graduate Scheme which provides professional training for blind and partially sighted people across the UK.

The candle is honey scented and it smells absolutely amazing both in the tin and as it is burning. It is housed in a metal hexagonal tin and lasts up to 21 hours. It is also limited edition so i recommend you go grab yours now!

Overall, a sweet smelling honey scented candle that is reasonably priced with all proceeds going to charity to such an amazing cause. Whats not to love?

This exclusive honey scented candle is available to buy now for £13 from L'Occitane Boutiques nationwide and online at www.loccitane.co.uk.

Amitee Make-Me-Up Themed Box

Hello ladies,

Amitee is another beauty box brand on the block with a little twist. They offer a 'Pamper Secrets' box each month for £10 plus P&P containing 5 samples. Each box is customised to suit your needs so when you sign up you fill in a quiz and from there you are placed in 1 of 6 categories based on your hair and skin type so they know to send you things that are suitable.

What is different is that they also offer themed boxes for £10 plus P&P. The different theme boxes include the 'Make-Me-Up' box, the 'Curl Again' box and also the 'Frill Me' box. With each of these boxes it lists on the website the exact products that you will get in each box so its not a surprise and you know exactly what you will be receiving. However, I didnt actually read the contents of the box until i received it so for me it was a surprise!
I received the Make-Me-Up themed box*. The first thing that struck me was how tiny the box is! It easily fits inside one of my empty glossyboxes and i was surprised how much it held inside! The box is gorgeous, It is cream with a purple Pamper Secrets logo on the top. Inside there is tissue paper and a gorgeous purple ribbon.

Whats inside:
♥ Eldora Eyelashes ♥
I have received a couple of pairs of Eldora eyelashes in beauty boxes before and i absolutely love them so was extremely happy to see a pair of these in the box! This is a lovely full size product that fits well into a make up themed box and perfect for make up junkies. These are the H106 eyelashes that are human hair and retail for £4.25.
♥ Murad Blemish Control Primer ♥
Again, I have received a Murad primer sample in one of my beauty boxes before but these travel sizes always come in handy and this is a different type that is for acne and shine control - perfect as i am always looking for primers that battle shine. This is a 5ml sample with 30ml retailing at £29 making this sample worth around £4.80.
♥ NYX Colour Lip Balm ♥
NYX is a brand i have tried for their nail polishes but not for any other products in their range. This is the colour lip balm is shade Grazie that is a gorgeous pink that gives a sheer wash of colour. It also smells amazing, a little bit like strawberries! This retails for £3.99.
♥ NYX Loose Pearls ♥
Another NYX product this time the Loose Pearl eyeshadow in shade Orange Pearl. Colour wise it reminds me ever so slightly of MAC Amber Lights eyeshadow but in pigment form. It is a full size 5ml product and retails for £2.50.
♥ Elemis Melting Cleansing Gel ♥
I have heard so much about Elemis but have never actually used any of the products before. I am seriously looking forward to trying the cleansing gel and this is a reasonable sized 20ml sample so i will get a good few tries with this. The full size 125ml tube retails for just under £20 making this sample worth just over £3.
Overall, I really do love all of the products in this months box and will genuinely make use out of every single on of them. I love that it is mainly make up focused as i definitely prefer it to skin or haircare. The whole box is worth around £18 so you dont save massively when splurging £10 plus P&P but the bonus is that you do know what you are letting yourself in for and what products are in the box before you purchase.

You can see more information on the Amitee website and you can view all the themed boxes here.

Have you tried the Amitee boxes before? What do you think of the themed box ideas?

New Purchase: Topshop Feisty Sandals

Hello ladies,

I dont know if its just me but i have been loving so so much from the Topshop website at the minute. So much so i have made a couple of cheeky orders this week along! As the sun shone this week i decided to purchase some sandals that i have been eyeing up in store and online for a few weeks without knowing if i would love or loathe them when i tried them on.
Now i know these are a shoe that you are going to either love or hate, but for me i am in absolute love with them! I purchase quite a few pairs of sandals each year, it is one of my favourite things to do in Summer and i am so so happy with these! The style of the sandal is amazing and i really do love the leopard print! I am planning on wearing them with a plain black chiffon dip hem dress that i have again bought from Topshop and a waist belt, perfect for the Florida heat!

They are the Topshop Feisty Leopard Sandals that are available to buy from here for £45 (although i did get student discount!)

What sandals will you be rocking this Summer?

Glossybox July 2012 - Festival Essentials

Hello ladies,

Two posts in one day! I am on a roll today!

Yesterday I received the July 2012 Glossybox* that is festival themed so perfect for this time of year.
♥ Collin Resultime - Regenerating Collagen Gel ♥
The Collin Resultime Regenerating Collagen Gel can be used daily as a serum or a sleek mask and i think i will personally use this as a serum before i apply my moisturiser. This is a generous 15ml sample and a full size 50ml tub retails for a whopping £47.25(!) making this sample worth around £14.
♥ Awapuhi Wild Ginger - Texturizing Sea Spray ♥
I have received a Awapuhi Wild Ginger product in one of my Glossyboxes before but i dont think it was the texturizing sea spray. I have never used a sea spray although i have friends that swear by them! This is a surf inspired spray that adds texture to create a tousled, beachy style. Perfect for spritzing on your hair after swimming on holiday! This is a generous 25ml product - perfect for travel and the Full size 150ml bottle retails for £18.95 making this worth around £3.
♥ Monu - Calming Cream ♥
Monu is another brand that has been featured in beauty boxes many times. This time i received a small sample size of the Calming Cream that is a green tinted cream that works by neutralising the redness often noticed on the cheeks and chin area. This is a 20ml sized sample and 15ml is actually full sized so this is even bigger than that. 15ml retails for £14.95 making this worth around £20.
♥ Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics - Lip Frosting ♥
The next product in the box is the Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Lip Frosting. I have actually reviewed this product before here. This is in the shade Irish Cream Pavlova that smells amazing and can be used either on the lips or cheeks. This isa full size 15ml product and retails for £10.
♥ Kryolan - Satin Powder ♥
I have heard so much about Kryolan products before so was excited to see this nestled inside my box. This is the Kryolan Satin Powder Sparkling eye dust that believe me is extremely sparkly! It is a gorgeous peach shade that i think would look just as amazing doubled up as a blush. Again another full size 3g product that retails for £4.75.
Bonus Product
♥ Elizabeth Arden - Visible Difference Skin Balancing Line ♥
Each box also came with a bonus product in the form of the Elizabeth Arden exfoliating cleanser, optimizing skin serum and skin balancing lotion samples which is a nice little extra.

Overall the samples in this box are worth just over £50 which is pretty amazing for a both that costs £10 per month. It also features 3 full size products, plus 2 generous samples and a bonus product that covers hair, skin and make up. The winning product for me is the Monu Calming Cream as i really do enjoy using their products.

Sign up for £10 per month plus P&P here.

Did you receive this months glossybox? What are your thoughts on the products you received?

Balmi Lip Balms - EOS Lip Balm Dupe?

Hello lovelies,

I have always always wanted to get my hands on the EOS lip balms after seeing them on countless blogs and was patiently waiting until i go to the US to get my hands on them next month! However the I Love Cosmetics brand seem to have brought us our own UK alternative in the form of the Balmi Lip Balm. They come in five different flavours: Strawberry, Coconut, Mint, Blackcurrant and Raspberry and even though they wont be launched until August 2012, Boots will be one of their stockists.
I was sent a couple to try, the mint and the blackcurrant. First things first, the both smell absolutely amazing! The mint one has a cooling effect so tingles when you apply it which i personally love. They are both colourless and feel extremely mosturising on the lips.

Both have SPF 15 which i think is amazing as our lips need protection too as they are constantly on show to harmful UV rays. They also contain Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil so as you can imagine they keep lips moisturised and super smooth.

The actual packaging is what is most similar looks wise to the EOS lip balms (as i cant comment on the actual balm as i have never tried the EOS ones) but they come in a rounded pot that swivels off in the middle so you can swipe on your lips and go. No faffing or getting sticky fingers from dipping into lip balm!

They also come with a little key chain ring so you can attach them to your keyring or phone however i think i will be taking these off. The colours of the pots are also appropriate to the scent names which i love!

If you are on the hunt for a new lip balm then i highly recommend the Balmi lip balms! Im personally not a lover of Vaseline as i find them too greasy and messy, something that Balmi are not! Love them!

Read more about them at balmi.co.uk/.

The Balmi Lip Balms will be released in August 2012 stores in Boots and Mountain Warehouse for £4.99.

What do you think? Will you be getting your hands on them?

JolieBox July 2012 - The Summer Essentials

Hello lovelies,

Its the beauty box time of the month again and this time round its the turn of JolieBox. This months box contained  4 products plus a little extra gift.
♥ Etat Pur Pure Active A22 - Salicylic Acid 300 ♥
The most confusing product name ever? There was two choices of Etat Pur products on offer this month, either this spot treatment or a puryfying mask. As you can see i received the Salicylic Acid which is the product i would have preferred. Apparently Salicylic Acid is 'A well-known ingredient in dermatology' and is very powerful and effective on acne-prone, blemished skin so this will be well suited for myself although i am aware this wont be perfect for everyone. Believe it or not this is actually a full size product and retails for over £12.
♥ Jane Iredale - Tantasia Self Tanner ♥
Ive used a couple of Jane Iredale products so this is a brand i am quite familiar with. I rceeived a small sample of their Tantasia Self Tanner which is a moisturising gradual self-tanner for the face and body that provides instant, healthy looking colour. Its only a small tube so its not really going to go a long way however i think i will stick to using this on my face when fake tanning as i dont have a seperate face tanner.
♥ Nailgirls - Two Mini Polishes ♥
Ive never actually heard of Nailgirls before, however i received two mini polishes from their medal collection which is inspired by the Olympics, so very appropriate! (not the rings i might add but more the medals! Just if you were wondering!) I received the Gold and Bronze shade and i am very much looking forward to using the gold! Especially to pair with a gorgeous coral!
♥ Wen by Caz Dean - Sweet Almond and Mint Cleansing Conditioner ♥
Again a brand i have never heard of (I really need to get myself in the know!) but how gorgeous does sweet almond and mint sound together? Its a good sized sample of their cleansing conditioner that aims to leave hair looking and feeling deeply cleansed and nourished at the same time.
Extras
♥ Institut Esthederm Bronz Repair & Toe Separators  ♥
I am very much looking forward to giving the Bronz Repair a whirl on holiday as it is a anti-wrinkle tanning cream and although it is a small 20ml sample i can easily throw this in my bad and i will use this on my face on holiday. Nail Separators arent really something i personally use!
Overall, I dont think the contents in this months box are overly amazing although i was pleased to see a couple of extras. There is one full size products this month which is the Etat Pur Salicylic Acid 300 which is the one product i am most looking forward to trying out.

Did you receive this months box? What are your thoughts?

Neom Organics Invigorate Home Candle

Hello lovelies,
I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend!

Everyone probably knows by now how much i am in love with the Neom home candles and i was recently sent their newest addition, the Invigorate candle*.
The scent is Grapefruit, Bergamot & Lime which smells incredibly fresh and zesty and of all the Neom candles this is my absolute favourite scent. It is wonderful and so very perfect for Summer without being too overpowering.

As with all the Neom candles they are made with only vegetable wax and pure essential oils so they burn without releasing harmful pollutants, soot or toxins.

The massive 3 wick home candle retails for £39.50 which is pretty pricey but it does burn up to a whopping 50 hours! If this is slightly out of your price range then why not opt for the Invigorate travel candle for a more purse friendly £15?

I guarantee you will be hooked! I burn mine pretty much every evening!
You can buy the Neom Invigorate candle from here.

Products I've Used Up

Hello lovelies,

Firstly can i just start off by saying a massive thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post and all the tweets, you guys are amazing!

This is my first ever 'empties' post! They do say everything runs out at once and believe me it really does feel that way this time around! It is very rare that i will actually ever finish a product especially lipsticks or blushes as i just have so many that i slowly work my way through them. However with face and base products i tend to stick to what i know i really only use products that i know and love.
♥ NARS Sheer Glow Foundation ♥
Im sure by now everyone knows that i am in absolute love with NARS Sheer Glow and have even converted my Mother! To be this is just utter perfection! I think this is at least my fourth bottle and of course i will be repurchasing as i cant possibly be without it. I must admit i do rotate it with the Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation which i do love also...but not as much!
♥ MAC Painterly Paint Pot ♥
I couldnt possibly tell you how long i have owned this paint pot and that plus using it everyday this has done me pretty well! It is the perfect eye make up base for everyday, that is totally matte and pretty much a spot on shade as my skin colour so it also evens out my skin tone around my eyes. Perfect, another re-purchase from moi!
♥ Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer ♥
Dont get me wrong, i really really do love this product and as you can see i have used it all up but i am that inexperienced on concealer and havent used enough just yet to grant this holy grail status and to repurchase this just yet! I may try another concealer first although which i am undecided with im thinking maybe one of the MAC ones? Would love your reccomendations!

♥ MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural ♥
Again, another product i am absolutely in love with! I must admit ive never really used any other 'high end' powders before but i simply couldnt bring myself to after trying this beauty! It sets make up flawlessly without looking cakey and leaves shine at bay! What more could you possibly want? Repurchase? Absolutely! (Like you needed to ask!)
♥ MAC Naked Lunch Eyeshadow ♥
As you can tell there is just a smidgen left in this pan! Naked Lunch is the eyeshadow i opt for when i dont really know what eyeshadow to wear or a everyday eyeshadow that i wear to work. It is a gorgeous pale peach shade with a slight hint of shimmer that brightens up my eyes and looks lovely worn alone of paired with other neutral shades. My MAC palette wouldnt be complete without this colour!
♥ L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim ♥
I posted about this wonderful eyeliner here and in terms of eyeliner i seriously havent looked back since! It is, in my opinion the greatest eyeliner i have ever used and i have already purchased another one! Its a felt tip liner but not like others as this doesnt try out quickly or pull when trying to apply eyeliner. I also recently purchased the Loreal Super Liner after reading so many rave reviews and seriously it doesnt compare to this in the slightest!

I really do feel as though i have perfected my make up routine in such away that i only have products in my collection that i know i love and will use. Ask me this a year or so ago and believe me i would of had ten of everything! I have learnt to be much more make up savvy with my collection and really do love everything i have used up and not just used it up for the sake of it!

What products have you finished recently? Do you repurchase often?
Thanks for reading
