Percy & Reed Hair Royal Highness

Hello lovelies,

I recently received the Percy & Reed Hair Royal Highness* set that contains 6 hair care minis.
Percy & Reed are a brand that ive heard a lot about but until before receiving this set i had never tried any of their products. I especially love the packaging and it looks even cuter on this mini sized products!
This kit contains travel sizes of Splendidly Silky Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner, No Fuss Flawlessness Dry Conditioner Abundantly Bouncy Volumising Mousse, Frightfully Firm Hairspray and Smoothed, Sealed & Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil for fine hair.

This set is adorable, I love the British theme and the generously sized miniatures. I do love a good miniature! I know i seem to say this a lot but the mini hairspray, mousse and oil will all be coming on holiday with me! All of which will be perfect sizes for 2 weeks in the sun!

I have so far tried the Splendidly Silky Moisturising Shampoo & Conditioner as unfortunately these are too small to take away, I will need full size bottles, and im really impressed actually! It does exactly what it says on the tin and leaves my massively thick and long hair feeling silky smooth. Both smell amazing too!
All 6 minis are housed perfectly in a reusable pouch that will be perfect for caryying your toiletries.

The Percy & Reed Hair Royal Higness kit retails for £24 and is available from Beauty Bay (who also offer free worldwide shipping).

What do you think of this kit?

June 2012 Glossybox - The Sexy Summer Edition

Hello lovelies,

Yesterday was the day of Joliebox and today Glossybox! This months Glossybox seems to have come around so quickly! It doesnt seem like two minutes ago since the anniversary box!
♥ Vichy Dermablend Foundation Stick Starter Kit ♥
Even though its only a starter kit this was probably the product i was most excited about in the box! I love the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation and use this as a concealer so looking forward to seeing how the stick holds up! It contains 6 small sample shades and its benefits are SPF 30, fragrance free and a higher coverage than a normal foundation.
♥ HD Brows Precision Tweezers ♥
Another product that i was extremely pleased about! I have tried a couple of HD products now, both of which i have found in beauty boxes and i do love a good pair of tweezers! Although you will all know if you have read my Benefit Brows post that i am currently banned from putting tweezers anyway near my eyebrows so these bad boys will have to wait! The HD Brows Precision Tweezers retail for £19.95.
♥ Caudalie The Des Vignes Eau Fraiche ♥
I have used a couple of bits and bobs now from the Caudalie brand and didnt actually know that they did perfumes. This is such a cute, handbag sized perfume spray that has a decent amount of product inside. The scent is quite light and floral, something that will be good to spritz to keep refreshed throughout the day. Fab little spray, again extremely pleased with this too! Full size 50ml of this perfume retails for £26 - definitely not a bad price!
♥ BM Beauty Mineral Summer Warmth Bronzer ♥
We have had a BM beauty product in a Glossybox before and i have never been disappointed by the quality in their mineral products. Most of us love a bronzer and i find that they are quite a universal product unlike an eyeshadow that may come in a shade you wouldnt get use from. I must admit i have never used a loose powder style bronzer before so im crossing my fingers that this doesnt go allover on my first use! It looks pretty though and has a nice sheen to it. The sample is 1g in size.
Glossybox Blush Brush ♥
Everyone knows i do love a make up brush! This isnt the softest brush i have ever felt and is a little bit scratchy so im not sure if i will use it as i am inundated with brushes but it may be good for those just starting out with make up!
Overall, I really really do love this months box - I had seen many blog posts and lots of different variations of products but i am so happy with the products i received! Standout products for me are definitely the HD brows tweezers and the Dermablend sample!

Did you receive this months Glossybox? What did you think about it?

JolieBox June 2012 - 1st Anniversary Box

Hello lovelies,

June marks the one year anniversary of JolieBox* so in honour of the celebration they have a limited edition box and the products inside are a selection of JolieBoxes favourite French brands. I must say the box itself is absolutely stunning and one i will be keeping as storage - its so pretty!

Each box also comes with a voucher for a 30% discount from French skincare brand Codage, a special French edition of the JolieMag, a nail file and a JolieTicket slipped inside each and every box giving away prizes such as free boxes or vouchers!
♥ Yon-Ka Pample-Mousse Protective and Vitalizing Cream ♥
The Yon-Ka Pamplemousse facial cream is a lightweight facial cream that protects the skin from external factors whilst making your complexion and skin look hydrated and bright. This is the one product in the box that is actually customised and if you have filled in your beauty profile on the JolieBox website then you will receive the one that is more suited to your skin either Normal to Oily skin (like i have) or for dry skin. This is the one product i was most happy to see in my JolieBox, I do believe that it is a full size product as it is 50ml.
♥ L'Occitane Angelica Hydration Cream ♥
L'Occitane is a brand that i really do love and i havent as of yet been able to try any products from their new Angelica collection so i was happy to see a small sample pot of their smooth facial cream in my box. However, some may say having two out of the four products in the box for the face seem too excessive? Either way i'm really looking forward to giving this a try as it claims to moisturise and revitalise the skin whilst leaving it feeling plump and smoother. This is a 15ml sample size jar.
♥ Institut Esthederm UV inCellium Spray ♥
Ive never heard of any products from the Institut Esthederm brand before so was intrigued by this spray. I really like the packaging and the huge pump that it comes with! Its actually a face and body spray that is a pre-tanning treatment that will help boost skins natural defences and ensure a long lasting tan. Perfect for my upcoming holidays that i will ensure i spritz before going out in the sun! This is a 20ml sample size.
♥ Elysambre Lipstick ♥
Again, this is a full size product but one i will get absolutely no use out of because of the shade. You may strike gold and get a different, more wearable colour or even a different product as you can receive either a make up or nail product from the Elysambre range. The lipstick i have is a very pale, shimmery grey toned lilac which i'm not sure anyone could pull off.
This months box extra as i mentioned above is a small pink JolieBox nail file - perfect for popping in your handbag.
Overall 2 out of 4 full size products isnt bad going - especially if you get a good make up product and I will get use out of a lot of products in this box. The packaging is to die for and i do love the small black pouch they house the products in when inside the box.

Did you receive this months anniversary JolieBox? What products did you get?

You can still sign up for this months JolieBox here for £10 plus £2.95 postage.

Sleek MakeUP The 2012 Collection i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette & Swatches

Hello my loves,

A new Sleek MakeUP Palette popped through  my letterbox today! It forms part of the new Limited Collection aptly named 'The 2012 Collection' that includes everything to get you into the Olympic spirit!

There are 3 products in this collection: The i-Divine eyeshadow palette in 'Glory', a Blush in 'Honour' and a Pout Polish in 'Pride'

The i-Divine in Glory contains 12 powder eyeshadows, 2 matte and the rest shimmer. The shade names are taken from some of Londons famous underground stations such as Circle, Central and Victoria and echo vibrant shades taken from the Olympic rings.

As with most Sleek MakeUP i-Divines these colours are vibrant and well pigmented. The top row of colours seem to be more neutral and easy to wear whereas the bottom row are full of bright shades.

My personal favourites are the more wearable tube, overground bakerloo that i can see my using quite often. However the much more brighter colours i wont really get a lot of use from as they are just something  wouldnt personally wear but i know a lot of people are going to fall in love with this palette!
Perfect for the Olympic season that is approaching!
Sleek MakeUp's 2012 collection is available for a limited time only and launches on the 4th July 2012 in Superdrug stores nationwide and online at

Will you be purchasing?

Review: Benefit Brow Bar

Hello ladies,

Just over a week ago i attended a Benefit event in Leeds for the release of the new Benefit Box O'Powder lipglosses (Which i will be doing a separate post on). At the event i met the lovely Adele who is actually the business manager at the Benefit counter in the white rose, after chatting with her me and Carla made an appointment to see her the following morning to get our brows done.

Admittedly, my brows were dreadful! There wasn't much to them and they had no shape to them whatsoever so i knew that they would need a lot of work! The whole brow experience was just amazing! They first map your eyebrows to see if they arch in the right place/are long enough and basically the correct shape for your face shape and they will then ask how you would like your perfect brows. I explained that i know i have no arch at all (more of a curve) but in a ideal world i would love an arch.

I then had my eyebrows tinted. My brows are a extremely dark brown so i had them tinted dark brown with a hint of black. As well as changing the colour of your brows slightly (which i think tinting is absolutely perfect if you have fair hair) they also pick up the lighter hairs and allow for the brow expert to have more hair to work with in order to create your perfect brows.
Once tinted, I had my eyebrows waxed. I have had them waxed before so i knew exactly what to expect and i dont find that it hurts at all. Waxing done, Adele filled in my eyebrows in with the Brow Zings in Dark quite heavily, mixing together the powder and the wax to show me what we were looking for as a 'ideal brow' to show me the shape we were going for. She then took this off and then filled them in. What i love about the whole Benefit Brow experience is unlike some other places that i have had my brows waxed at before they actual conceal and powder you afterwards so your not left with huge red patches around your eye area.

The whole treatment for mapping, tinting, waxing, filling and concealing costs £18.50 which i really do feel is such a reasonable price. Adele even said that this one occasion was on them which was so lovely of her so thank you so much Adele if you are reading this! I am booked in for 3 weeks time and have been told not to touch the tweezers and leave my brows to grow (eek!) you should see the growth i have had already after a week who knows what they are going to be like in another 3! But i know that it will all be worth it in the end and i am looking forward to perfect brows (Finally!)

Benefit have teamed up with Refuge, the national domestic violence charity to raise awareness and as much money as they can for the women and children who have been affected by domestic violence. Mascarathon is a relay type of charity run from Edinburgh to London this is taking place on the 15th-29th June stopping off in Newcastle, Manchester, Brimingham, Cardiff and Oxford. Where do you come in to this? There are a few ways you can help this amazing charity, you can either participate in a run, donate on their Just Giving page heresupport others that are running and please please try and get #mascarathonUK trending on twitter!

You can read more about the Mascarathon on the website here. They have currently raised just under £9000 and they have a target of raising £50,000 for refuge.

Skincare Routine

Hello my loves,

Nearly a year ago now i blogged about my current skin care routine that consisted mainly of Liz Earle products. I have since mixed it up a little bit and even though i am still a fan of the Liz Earle skincare i am currently using some different products that i wanted to share with you.
♥ Cleanser - Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish (Of Course!) ♥
Sticking to an old favourite and something i have been using for around 2 and a half years and gone through countless bottles of is the Liz Earle cleanse and polish. This stuff is amazing and i did a review of it here. I use this first and it removes most of my make up and leaves my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed and soft. I use it with a product that i talk a bit more about below!
♥ Toner - Bioderma Sensibo H20 Make Up Remover ♥
My current toner of choice is the Bioderma Make up remover that i use as a toner and to remove any excess make up especially heavy eye make up that may have been missed by my cleanse and polish. I have read so many rave reviews of the Bioderma so i picked mine up from ebay for around £12 for a huge 500ml bottle. So far i am absolutely loving it and will 100% be repurchasing it. Its also fragrance free which i really do like.
♥ Moisturiser - Liz Earle Light Moisturiser ♥
Again the same as before my moisturiser of choice is the Liz Earle light moisturiser for combination/oily skin which is the category my skin type fits into. It is light and moisturising without leaving a greasy or oily residue on my skin. However, I have recently been using a sample of the Benefit moisturiser and i must say i am really enjoying using it so this may be a next purchase.
♥ Exfoliator - Liz Earle Gentle Exfoliator ♥
I am using the Liz Earle gentle exfoliator as it is one that i can use everyday as it isnt too harsh on my skin. It is similar to the cleanse and polish and thick in consistency like that is however it has gentle exfoliating grains in it. I do love a good face scrub, it really is one of my favourite parts of my skin care routine and i have been intrigued by the Benefit facial exfoliator that i am currently using a small sample of and really enjoying.
♥ Eye products ♥
♥ Liz Earle Daily Eye Cream/Liz Earle Soothing Eyebright
I am currently using two eye products, a eye cream which i have reviewed before here and a lotion. I use the Liz Earle Eye Cream twice a day, both morning and night. It has light reflecting properties that make me look so much more awake and give my skin a bit of a glow. The eye lotion is so gentle and soothing, I use this once a day on an evening when i have cleansed and toned my face, before applying moisturiser.
♥ Other products ♥
♥ Caudalie Vinosource SOS Serum ♥
I have recently been using the Caudalie Vinosource SOS Serum sample that i received in my glossybox before applying my moisturiser as it suggests, it does leave my skin feeling quite smooth but i am unsure i can really notice any other benefits so i definitely wont be investing in a full size tube.
♥ Caudalie Beauty Elixir ♥
The Caudalie beauty elixir is a product i purchased after reading so so many rave reviews on many beauty blogs so i picked up the small 30ml bottle from HQ Hair. I must be totally honest and say i see no benefits to this whatsoever and i cant really see any difference this is making to my skin at all. I apply before i apply my moisturiser so i may try applying after applying my make up like a fix plus kind of product. I personally dont see the hype at all, is that just me?
♥ Rio Sonicleanse ♥
I have been using the Rio Sonicleanse* now for a couple of months now. I use it on a night through the week and on a morning and night on weekends simply because i have more time. It is a clarisonic-type product but for a fraction of the price and this retails for £50 which i think is amazing. The head pulses at 10,000 times per minute and even though this is less than a clarisonic i feel this efficient for my own needs. It leaves my skin feeling exceptionally clean and looking refreshed. It has two settings, low and high. I generally use it on high but around my eye area i use low as i find my skin to be more sensitive here. It beeps after 20 seconds so you know when to move to a different section of your face but then will turn off after a minute which usually results in me having to turn it back on as i like a much deeper cleanse. Some people mention that they have a small break out on their skin when first using a product like this but i must say this never happened with me when i started using the Sonicleanse. It leaves my skin feeling much smoother and clearer and i can definitely tell the difference between the deep scrub this gives compared to using a cleanser on its own. I pair this with my Liz Earle cleanse and polish. I gently dampen my face and add a dollop of the cleanse and polish to my chin, nose, forehead and cheeks and cleanse one area at a time. I must say i first used this before taking my make up off and definitely didnt find this as effective as when i take my make up off before, usually with the Bioderma. It also waterproof so can be used in the shower and rechargeable, although i have only had to recharge it once overnight and it has still lasted!
These are the skincare products i am using and currently loving, but i must add a sidenote as what might work for me may not work for you.  I am very particular with skincare and research a lot on products before purchasing as i want to get it right and dont want to be disapointed. So these are the products that are currently working for me and that i enjoy using.

What products are in your current skincare routine? Do you chop and change often?
If you want any indepth reviews of any individual products then please let me know!

Review: ClaireaBella Candles

Hello lovelies,

Today i have a post on a ClaireaBella candle*. Im sure you have all heard of ClaireaBella before but if not i will go into a little background information. The product that made ClaireaBella huge are their personalised Jute bags that im sure you have seen many celebrities carrying! They have also recently branched out into other products such as mugs, lunch boxes and phone cases.
The idea behind it is that you supply them with the name that you would like on the product and also your hair and eye colour. These are the only details i provided and in return i received this lovely candle that arrived in a pink, organza bag.

Mine is the small candle that retails for £12.99 but isnt actually on the website at the minute only the large candle for £15.99 is.

The candle itself is a small, cream coloured unscented candle. I would absolutely love if they gave an option where you could choose to have the candle scented or not, as i personally find the scent of a burning candle so soothing!

The design itself is on a transfer that has been stuck on the candle. On one side is my name inbetween two hearts and the actual picture is of a girl with brown hair & blue eyes (my preference!) wearing a dress and holding a glass of champagne, perfect!

I personally love my candles and this sits so prettily on my dressing table. What i think is the stand out for me is that it is personal, noone else i doubt owns a candle exactly like this and i think they would make a wonderful and well thought out gift!

You can buy your ClaireaBella candle from Toxicfox here.

Have you heard of ClaireaBella before?

NOTD: OPI Mod About You & Sparkle-icious

Hello my loves,

I hope you are all having a wonderful bank holiday weekend! I have had a fab few days!

I wanted to show you all what i was wearing on my nails as i think its one of my most favourite combos ever!
Its no secret that OPI nail polishes are my favourites and usually the ones you will find me  reaching for most often!
I popped on my trusty Nailene 200 pack of nails (these are THE greatest! I think i need to do a full indepth review of these!) and painted all my nails in OPI mod about you topped with OPI Sparkle-icious (That came out with the Burlesque collection) on my ring finger.

I dont think there is a time that i paint my nails and dont include some kind of sparkle either on one finger or all of them, a bit of sparkle really does brighten up my day!

What are you currently sporting on your nails?
