After the huge success of Illamasqua's Summer Human Fundamentalism collection (I blogged about the event here) they recently brought out a second part to the collection and released six new products, two lipsticks Eurydice (bright pink) and Liable (orange red) and four powder eyeshadows, Inception (matte purple), Hype (bold matte yellow), Fledgling (matte bright green) and Vapour (matte orange).
The stand out product from this part of the collection for me was the Illamasqua lipstick in 'Eurydice' which is a bright fuschia pink with a matte finish which i would wholeheartedly agree with, this is a bright pink lipstick that is most definitely not for the fainthearted.
It reminds me ever so slightly of Candy Yum Yum by MAC that was a limited edition lipstick. As with most Illamasqua lipsticks this has a very matte finish and although i didnt find it too drying i would ensure that you have fulled prepped and primed your lips before applying this so that they are smooth and not dry as it may highlight any dry patches or cracks.
It instantly applies as bright as the shade in the tube so it most definitely isnt a let down however i would also suggest applying a lip liner first as i found it quite tricky to follow the natural line of my lips. The pigmentation and lasting power of this lipstick and shade is absolutely astounding. This lasted all day on me, and i mean all day! I literally had to scrub it off and even then it was stubborn and didnt want to come off! Of course it faded ever so slightly throughout the day as you would expect with a lipstick however it did stain the lips and the colour was noticeable all day.
I think this is an absolutely stunning lipstick and something that is a little different from the rest of the illamasqua lipstick range however it fits right in! I love it, but will be keeping it purely on a 'nights out only' basis!
Eurydice is available to buy not from Illamasqua counters and online here for £15.50.
