Long time no speak! I hope you are all well!
I am sure you have all seen and read about the new Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo eyeshadows that came out in the UK not long ago after being released in the US for a while.
I must admit, the colour selection in the UK isnt the biggest, i think their is only 5 or 6 shades and only one of them actually stood out to me as something i would regularly reach for.
I picked up Number 35 'On and on bronze' a couple of weeks ago from Boots. I would describe it as a taupe bronze that is extremely metallic and shimmery, similar to MAC patina/bronze combined if you are similar with those colours. They are quite similar to the MAC paint pots, which i love and use on a daily basis as an eyeshadow base and are creamy and smooth.
What i must note is that this is extremely pigmented. The slightest touch to the surface and there is massive colour pay off. The swatch on my hand, lasted so long and did not budge at all! It really did need a good scrub to get it off. I apply a thin layer to my eye lid without a primer as an eyeshadow base, and pop another powder eyeshadow on top. I wear nothing but neutrals on my eyes so this is perfect for me. I didnt find that a thin layer creased, especially with a shadow over the top and it wore well.
The product itself is housed in a chunky glass jar that feels solid although the product actually only takes up a small part of the actual jar. It has a black screw top lid again reminiscent of the MAC Paint pots.
I managed to snaffle this is it was on a 3 for 2 offer in Boots. I think that the best thing about this is that it can be yours for a purse friendly £4.99 which i think is an incredible price point and i would really recommend, especially if you are in love with paint pots and use a similar base for your eyeshadow.
Did you give in to the Maybelline Colour Tattoo hype?
