Review: Broadway Nails imPRESS Press On Manicure

Hello lovelies,

If you have been a avid reader of my blog you will know that i absolutely love false nails, usually the Nailene 200's and paint them so i was excited when i received some of the Broadway Nails imPRESS Manicure in my February Glossybox.

♥ Application ♥
The imPRESS nails i recieved were the standard french manicure type in 'rock it'. With these nails they do not come with any glue as they are self adhesive and already have glue on the nails. You simply peel off the plastic backing, place onto the nail and apply pressure until they are stuck on. They are so quite and easy to apply, I matched up all ten nails so that they fit properly and applied a full set within minutes, leaving the thumb until last.

The first thing i noticed was that the nails are quite thick but flexible and when applied to the nail they kind of stick out a bit, quite similar to a gel manicure. One thing that did annoy me was that the bottom of the nail wasnt stuck down properly so was slightly raised resulting in my hair getting caught in them quite often when i put my hands through it and having to gently pull my hair out without pulling the nail off.
♥ Longevity ♥
I applied these Friday afternoon and for 24 hours they were absolutely fine and they all stayed applied. Then soon after the index finger nail on my right hand popped off.The good thing of them being self adhesive is that you don't need glue to hand and if you are out and about you can try and stick it back on again and it should last.
I had to reapply the index nail on my left hand 3 times with different nails as it lost its stick and it kept coming off.
It is now Sunday so a whole 48 hours after applying the nails and i have since lost the index finger on my left hand also. I think these must be the fingers that are used the most!
All the other nails have lasted really well and are all still in tact however a couple feel like they could come off at any moment.
♥ Size ♥
You get 24 nails in each pack all of different sizes so if you use them well and file them down if they are too big then you could possibly get two wears out of one pack. I find these nails quite short and the had to file down a couple of my nails to make them fit however i think this makes them look more natural which i like.
I have even painted them with Nails Inc Baker Street (A review of this polish to come!) and with two coats it was opaque even over the french tip and they looked wonderful.

All in all, these are lovely nails that are so glossy and shiny and i really cant stop stroking them, they are extremely quick and easy to apply and there is no mess or drying time required like there is with glue on nails. Removal is extremely easy and i think they lasted reasonably well however it does say that they can last up to a week. They have done me well over the weekend and i usually only have nails on for a couple of days before taking them off anyway as they feel really heavy on my nails but these dont, the imPRESS nails feel really light and i could keep them on for longer.

The Broadway Nails imPRESS Press On Manicure are available now from Boots for £8.99.
