Sleek MakeUP Avoir la Peche Collection: Paraguaya Palette & Swatches

Good afternoon sweethearts,

How are we all? Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

The new Sleek MakeUP i-Divine palette in 'paraguaya' popped through my door a couple of days ago so i thought if you hadn't seen any already i would show you a few pictures and swatches of the new eyeshadow palette!

It forms part of the new 'Avoir la Peche' Collection which also consists of a gorgeous peach tone pout polish in 'Sugar May' (£4.29)  and also a gorgeous peach blush in 'Pan-Tao' (£4.29) which i will try and get my hands on when i head to Manchester tomorrow!

What Sleek MakeUP say:

The new Avoir la Peche collection is everything you will need to be on trend for this spring. Inspired by peaches from all over the world, the collection celebrates in a variety of hues that will see you well into the warmer months of 2011. The Paraguaya i-Divine 12 piece eyeshadow palette is filled to the brim with warm browns, cool corals and powdery pinks - perfect for inspired looks such as Valentino's S/S11 trend.

First Impressions:

I am currently loving peach so this palette and the whole collection is absolutely perfect for me! I love how all 3 items in the collection compliment each other! I am looking forward to experimenting with the oranges and peaches in this palette and possibly using some as blush colours! I absolutely love the look of 'parfait' which reminds me of all that glitters from MAC which i LOVE! and i think 'sandstone' would make a gorgeous lid colour! All in all, a palette i am looking forward to playing around with and perfect for Spring/Summer!

The Avoir la Peche collection launched on the 16th March in Superdrug and also on the Sleek MakeUP Website for a Limited time only (until 13th April 2011). This palette in particular will be £6.49.

Will you be buying any products from the new Sleek MakeUP Avoir la Peche collection?

Stylerush Hair Straighteners Review

Afternoon sweeties!

How are we all this week? Yesterday was my birthday (22 if you are wondering!) & i had a amazing few days (my birthdays always last a few days!) Friday was spent with my amazing ladies with a night of drinking, dancing and a sleepover, Saturday was spent with the mister (hungover but hey at least it was spent together!), Sunday a meal with the family and Monday (my actual birthday) lunch with the girls followed by a evening at the theatre to see calendar girls with my Grandma, Mum & Sister! All in all a amazing birthday weekend!

Anyway! Today i have a hair straightener review!

The straighteners in question are the Stylerush hair straighteners standard styler that comes in 4 different colours, Violet, Green, Orange and Black. The pair i own are the green version.
What Stylerush say:
This ingenious professional styling tool is the latest straightener to arrive in the UK. Its advanced technology within the body of the straightener allow you to master the art of creating those curls, flicks, waves in the hair you are looking to achieve. Whatever length hair you have you can be sure to accomplish your desired look with ease.

The rounded barrer, smooth tilting plates and 360 degree swivel cord enable you to create that effortless look. Not only have we produced a styler that is creative but is available in 4 sleek desirable colours for you to choose from.

With its universal voltage you can use this anywhere in the world. This iron also boats the following features: an extra long cord, auto shut off and it comes with a heat resistant cap and carrying bag.
My Thoughts:

I have been roadtesting these for a couple of weeks and they have completely taken over my GHD's. At first, they were a bit unusual to use, but not because of the straighteners but because my GHDs are wide plates and these are a normal plate so took some time to adjust to the change!

However, these are really lightweight and glided through my hair with no pulling or tugging (always a bonus!). They come with a heat resistant guard which i absolutely LOVE, it means that you can slide it on even when they are still hot (after you have turned them off of course!) and also a travel bag that you can put them in when not in use.

They have a slide up on/off button and heat up pretty quickly (around 30 seconds), and the light flashes to tell you that they're ready and hot enough. My hair looked and felt shiny and silky afterwards which lasted throughout the day, which with my GHDs my hair becomes wavy quickly!

I LOVE the white plastic casing which is a change to usual hair straighteners and they have a slight pink iridescence running through them.
The Results:
Would I recommend?

Yes! They're light weight, easy to use and a very reasonable price! I love that you can chose what colour you would like (although i would have chosen the violet myself!) They come with a carry bag & heat resistant cap! They heat up quickly and not too hot (180 degrees) so they shouldn't cause too much damage to your hair & they also come with a 2 year warranty!

These straighteners are available from and are £79.99 with free delivery!

Aussie Lusciously Light

Evening ladies!

As you all probably know, I am a Aussie Angel, which means i get invited to lots of wonderful events and receive some of the Aussie hair care products!

Today i received a very unexpected surprise but very exciting non the less!

I collected a HUGE box from my neighbor after some Twitter speculation that we were receiving a very exciting parcel from Aussie!

I opened it up to find this...
A helium balloon attached with a bottle of the Lusciously Light Aussome Volume Conditioner for limp hair, which honestly smells so amazing! I cannot wait to use this!
I love the whole idea of the balloon for the lusciously light range :) A great thought of the Aussie team!

They also suggested as it is time for a spring clean, would i like to boost my barnet and join the Lusciously Lighter Style or boost my body and soul and join the Lusciously Lighter Self! I'm thinking the latter! Angels, which have you chosen?

Thank you again to the Aussie team, in particular Emma!

p.s: I am now selling the mini adjustable cross rings in either gold and silver for £6 (+ £1 postage no matter how much you buy) and they are available on or you can leave a comment below & i can send a invoice.
Pictures to follow, although there is one on my Twitpic!

Illamasqua Toxic Nature Collection SS11

Evening sweetiepies,

Hope you are all well this week!

I just wanted to share with you some images and information on the new Illamasqua Spring/summer 2011 collection 'Toxic Nature'.

Illamasqua says:

'Unpredictable, uncharted and unnatural, Illamasqua unleashes Toxic Nature for Spring/Summer 2011, a colour collection born from a visionary concept of nature fighting back against the genetically modified society that plunders it. Illamasqua has created the Toxic Nature collection through a palette of lurid shades, corrupted hues and glistening muted tones that offer intoxicating versions of their original selves.

“Having an artist background highly influenced this collection. The medium of paint when it is in various states [mixed on a palette, on a canvas, the colours mutating when you wash your brushes] inspired the product colours of Toxic Nature. Blends, washes, dabs, drips, daubs and splashes of colour are evident in the imagery of the collection.” Alex Box, Illamasqua Creative Director.

Like nature itself, it’s not all sweetness and light. Shades of mint, mushroom, plum, orange and rose are distorted with rich textures and pops of acid-infused brightness that command attention and draw you in…'

Cream Pigment - £17.00

A new matt formula that can either neutralise or dominate. Create the ultimate in textures whether it’s on your face, eyes, or body, bringing a flash of colour to a subtle contour.

“The power of the products in this collection is evident in the intensity of the Cream Pigments – they are intense, raw colour but blend down easily exactly like an artists paint palette.” Alex Box.

Emerge – Peach    [EU only]
Bedaub - Mint
Dab - Lilac
Hollow - Toffee
Delirium – Rose Taupe  [EU only]
Mould – Grape

Precision Ink in ‘Glister’ - £17.00

Create looks with attitude with this glistening opalescent nude. It dries within seconds and stays true for hours, so whatever you scrawl on your skin, you know your creation will last until dawn.

Lipstick - £15.50

Intense Lipstick with a highly pigmented formula that glides on smoothly, creating a statement.

Atomic – Fuchsia violet
Flare – Bright orange

Sheer Lipgloss - £13.00

Come out of the shadows with a high-shine punch of colour. Glossy, intense, and highly pigmented, Illamasqua Sheer Lipgloss is long-lasting, both on the lips and in the mind.

Torture – Coral Peach
Divine – Fuchsia Pink

Nail Varnish - £13.50

Leave your mark with an unexpected claw. Choose from either toxic pastels or unmissable neons. Hardwearing and chip-resistant.

Purity – Peach
Bacterium – Pearlescent Ash Ochre
Radium – Acidic Lime Shimmer
Stagnate – Grey Mauve
Gamma – Neon orange

Toxic Claw - £35.00

Illamasqua are proud to present the second collaboration with visionary manicurist, Mike Pocock.  A beautifully presented set of two false thumb nails, these have been designed and individually hand made by Mike. ‘The mutated aesthetic of the nail was inspired by the
corrupted hues present in the Toxic Nature collection’.

There is a chance for three people to win three of their favourite products from the new collection, all they have to do is add them to the waiting list at

The collection is live on the website on Thursday 10th March and in stores and counters on Thursday 17th March.

What takes your fancy from the new collection?

Liz Earle Spring Offer

Hello lovelies :)
Feels like such a long time since I've posted, not one to make excuses but have been busy with Uni work lately! Not long left to go now!
Anyway, i wanted to let you know about a springtime offer from Liz Earle which i think is a deal not to be missed!

The Liz Earle Clear Skin kit contains the Gentle Face Exfoliator 50ml, Deep Cleansing Mask 75ml, Spot on 6ml, 2 x sponges, and a white headband and is available for just £20.65. Which is a saving of £12.50

This offer is available from 14th February until 23rd May 2011.

Personally I am a massive fan of the deep cleansing mask and the gentle face exfoliator and they work amazingly in conjunction with one another! Definitely worth a try for the price! I also wouldn't mind giving the spot on treatment a whirl as my poor skin is in need of it at the moment!

Delivery is only £3 too which i think is amazing, as all products come beautifully packaged :)

Are you a Liz Earle lover?
