Review: Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo & Conditioner

Hello Munchkins!

How are we all this fine Wednesday afternoon? Half way through the week lovelies!

As you all know, i am in love with Liz Earle skin care,it is a firm favourite in my skin care routine especially the cleanse & polish so i was super-de-duper excited to try out the haircare!

I have had the Liz Earle Botanical Shampoo & Conditioner for a wee while now and have been road testing it ever since! My thoughts? Its Love!♥

The products i was sent were the Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo (Which is for all hair types!) and the Liz Earle Botanical Shine Conditioner (Which is for dry or damaged hair). The Liz Earle Hair Care has been 6 years in the making and i really do believe it is well worth the wait!

♥ Shampoo Blurb ♥
With West African shea butter, natural source vitamin E, shine-boosting apple and orange extracts plus naturally derived cleansers, our shampoo gently cleans without stripping to leave hair soft, shiny and smooth. Contains no sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate.

♥ Conditioner Blurb ♥
Specially formulated with West African shea butter, yangu oil, blue seakale and shine-boosting apple and orange extracts, our ultra-rich colour safe conditioner leaves dry or damaged hair hydrated, under control, soft and smooth.

My thoughts

Both the shampoo and conditioner were an absolute pleasure to use! First off, i loved the sleek shiny tubes that housed the shampoo and conditioner, they felt very sturdy and professional! First impressions are extremely important :) The products do not contain any chemicals such as SLS (which i believe is a foaming agent which most other shampoos and conditioners contain) however the Liz Earle hair care lathered up quite well.
As soon as i opened the shampoo it smelt quite citrusy, which was rather refreshing and i scent i liked, which lingered in my hair as i washed it. It is recommended to lather this up in your hands with water before applying to your hair, which admittedly i didnt do and it still lathered up just fine!
The conditioner is a white, thick consistency similiar i think to the cleanse and polish and again had the same zesty scent as the shampoo. I tend to use a LOT of conditioner, more so than i do than shampoo but with this felt that i didnt need any more than i did shampoo. It covered my hair quite easily with not much product needed! I found this really moisturising, which i would expect for a conditioner perfect for dry hair!
Both the shampoo and conditioner used in conjunction with each other left my hair feeling incredibly shiny and silky, and for haircare without SLS i am very impressed! I was also left knot and tangle free (which for my very thick and long hair that is definitely a bonus!)

♥ Price♥
£7.50 for a 200ml tube, travel size bottles are also available from £4

♥ Availability ♥
The Hair Care is available now from the Liz Earle Website

♥ Would i re-purchase? ♥
Absolutely! I love them! & finished both of my tubes long ago! I think for a nice hair care treat, £7.50 is a bargain for the Liz Earle Shampoo & Conditioner and i shall be purchasing soon! Along with some for my mother!

I really hope you found this review helpful! If you need any more information then please leave me a comment and i will get back to you as soon as possible.

Have you tried the Liz Earle hair care? What are your thoughts?

  4. I have been using these for about 3 weeks now and I absolutely love them! I have very long, naturally curly, coloured hair so it is prone to dryness, but I noticed an improvement even after the first use! I think they're great value too, I usually use ones that cost twice the price and don't perform half as well. x
