Sleek MakeUp Molten Metal & Swatches

Afternoon sweethearts!

How are we all? Looking forward to New Years Eve?

As you can probably tell from the title, this post is dedicated to a new launch from Sleek MakeUp in the new year which is one of their Molten Metals.

This little beauty popped through my letter box on Christmas Eve so it was a lovely little festive surprise.
Molten Metal is a intense coloured cream metallic eyeshadow duo, which i am sure is going to be compared to the Illamasqua liquid metals as they are very similar. The Molten Metal is a long lasting cream which can be used on the cheek bones, the lips, the eyes and as a highlighter.
They are housed in a sturdy sleek packaging, with a mirror which is always a bonus.

The two shades are 'Cool Pewter' and 'Gold Leaf' which I'm sure will be perfect for Spring/Summer but feel as though these would have been perfect as a festive release. I must admit they are highly pigmented! I am yet to use them in a look but i will be sure to update you with the longevity.

Cool Pewter, Gold Leaf

Sleek MakeUp's Molten Metal launches on the 5th January 2011 and will be permanent. You can purchase yours for £6.9 from Superdrug Stores Nationwide as well as on the Sleek MakeUp Website.

Will you be picking up the new Molten Metals in the new year?

The Liz Earle Event!

Afternoon sweetpeas :)

How are we all? Hope you are well!

A few weeks ago i was invited to a Liz Earle event by the lovely Andrea over at Liz Earle. As you are probably well aware i am in love with Liz Earle products especially their cult classic cleanse & polish & of course their wonderful hair care! So i practically snatched Andreas hand off when she sent me the invite! I was literally so excited and couldnt wait!

It was to celebrate the opening of the first Liz Earle store up north, in Leeds to be precise and in the gorgeous Victoria Quarter!
Come Friday last week, 5 of us beauty bloggers met before the event to have a couple of glasses of wine and a bit of a chit chat before the event! We then hot footed it over to the store and met up with a fellow beauty blogger, Sarah!
Nicoletta, Ellie, Me, Charlotte & Emily
The gorgeous girls & beauty bloggers i met were:
Charlotte ♥
♥ Emily ♥
♥ Nicoletta  ♥
♥ Sarah ♥

We were greeted with a glass of champers and asked to go upstairs where we were greeted with the rest of the team (& a stand full of cupcakes! Yum!)

Us girls were all shopped out and hand coats and bags galore! When i asked if there was anywhere we could leave our bags we left that near the wall and were told that they would bring up a security guard to watch our bags! You read correct ladies a security guard! My Louis Vuitton was very well looked after indeed!

Not 1...
But 2!
I especially love the picture of the view from their Isle of Wight store! Gorgeous!
Then the lovely Louise, who works alongside Andrea gave us a tour of the store and handed us a basket so that we could chose 5 products of our choice! Wow! Which were helped picked by Louise as she talked us through each product individually.

My picks were:
♥ Cleanse & Polish (A girl can never have enough!) ♥
♥ Superskin Body Lotion ♥
♥ Skin Repair Moisturiser ♥
♥ Deep Cleansing Mud Mask ♥
♥ Gentle Exfoliator ♥

Lucky lady or what? I have wanted a exfoliator to incorporate with my Liz Earle skincare routine for a long time so i am super excited to try that! Reviews to come of course!

Products chosen we then sat down in the chill out corner and got to meet THE lady herself, Liz Earle! Wow! Slightly overwhelmed, herself and Jennifer (The head of botanical research) talked us through the brand itself and the products. Liz and her team are all truely wonderful ladies and it was an absolute honour to meet them!

The store is absolutely gorgeous, based over 2 floors. Downstairs there is a quick stop area where you can grab and go where upstairs you can have a more thorough look round and there is even a library corner with lots of Liz's books, comfy chairs and also a tv!

When it was time to leave the lovely Jennifer packed up all of our goodies into a gift bag including a sneak peek of a new product that will be hitting the shelves of  the Liz Earle stores and online at the end of the month (just after christmas!), a Energising Body Lotion. I will be testing this out and a review will follow!

As you can tell i throughly enjoyed the event, i had a blast! If you are in or around Leeds i urge you to check out the new Liz Earle store! It is perfect! The staff within store couldnt be more friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is amazing!

Thank you again Andrea for the invite, the gorgeous girls i met on the day and of course all the team at Liz Earle!

Review: Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo & Conditioner

Hello Munchkins!

How are we all this fine Wednesday afternoon? Half way through the week lovelies!

As you all know, i am in love with Liz Earle skin care,it is a firm favourite in my skin care routine especially the cleanse & polish so i was super-de-duper excited to try out the haircare!

I have had the Liz Earle Botanical Shampoo & Conditioner for a wee while now and have been road testing it ever since! My thoughts? Its Love!♥

The products i was sent were the Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo (Which is for all hair types!) and the Liz Earle Botanical Shine Conditioner (Which is for dry or damaged hair). The Liz Earle Hair Care has been 6 years in the making and i really do believe it is well worth the wait!

♥ Shampoo Blurb ♥
With West African shea butter, natural source vitamin E, shine-boosting apple and orange extracts plus naturally derived cleansers, our shampoo gently cleans without stripping to leave hair soft, shiny and smooth. Contains no sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate.

♥ Conditioner Blurb ♥
Specially formulated with West African shea butter, yangu oil, blue seakale and shine-boosting apple and orange extracts, our ultra-rich colour safe conditioner leaves dry or damaged hair hydrated, under control, soft and smooth.

My thoughts

Both the shampoo and conditioner were an absolute pleasure to use! First off, i loved the sleek shiny tubes that housed the shampoo and conditioner, they felt very sturdy and professional! First impressions are extremely important :) The products do not contain any chemicals such as SLS (which i believe is a foaming agent which most other shampoos and conditioners contain) however the Liz Earle hair care lathered up quite well.
As soon as i opened the shampoo it smelt quite citrusy, which was rather refreshing and i scent i liked, which lingered in my hair as i washed it. It is recommended to lather this up in your hands with water before applying to your hair, which admittedly i didnt do and it still lathered up just fine!
The conditioner is a white, thick consistency similiar i think to the cleanse and polish and again had the same zesty scent as the shampoo. I tend to use a LOT of conditioner, more so than i do than shampoo but with this felt that i didnt need any more than i did shampoo. It covered my hair quite easily with not much product needed! I found this really moisturising, which i would expect for a conditioner perfect for dry hair!
Both the shampoo and conditioner used in conjunction with each other left my hair feeling incredibly shiny and silky, and for haircare without SLS i am very impressed! I was also left knot and tangle free (which for my very thick and long hair that is definitely a bonus!)

♥ Price♥
£7.50 for a 200ml tube, travel size bottles are also available from £4

♥ Availability ♥
The Hair Care is available now from the Liz Earle Website

♥ Would i re-purchase? ♥
Absolutely! I love them! & finished both of my tubes long ago! I think for a nice hair care treat, £7.50 is a bargain for the Liz Earle Shampoo & Conditioner and i shall be purchasing soon! Along with some for my mother!

I really hope you found this review helpful! If you need any more information then please leave me a comment and i will get back to you as soon as possible.

Have you tried the Liz Earle hair care? What are your thoughts?

Sugababes Tempt Perfume Review

Good Morning Ladies :)

I was recently sent one of the new Sugababes fragrances to try out which i was indeed very excited about!

The fragrances launched exclusively in the perfume shop on the 18th September and will soon be available to purchase nationwide.

The Perfume Shop says

'The collection, consisting of three divinely blended essences: Tempt, Tease and Touch are as feminine, sophisticated and sexy as the Babes themselves. These scents are spirited, uplifting, and perfect for the modern young woman'.

There are three fragrances available, which are:

♥ Touch ♥

♥ Tempt ♥

♥ Tease ♥

I was sent the sugababes perfume in tempt. As you know i am a big lover of perfumes and do have a thing for celebrity perfumes so i was pretty excited to try this! Its a nice, sleek, shiny black bottle with the sugababes logo and perfume name on it. I really enjoyed the fruity, floral smell of this and the rose and berry notes really came through. It was a pleasure to use and i have been wearing it on a daily basis! A lovely perfume and a nice addition to my collection!

Overall, i find this a lovely day fragrance which lasts a while and for £19.99 for 100ml it really is a bargain! Add it to your christmas lists now girls! Grab yours from the Perfume Shop, they even do a gift set which would make the perfect present for your bestie!

Im really looking forward to having a sniff at the other perfumes in the range! Loving the look of the pink bottle of tease!

They also have a competition running on their Facebook page so if you fancy winning one of 30 bottles then pop on over! Good luck ladies!
*The Competition ends tonight dolls so go enter now!*

As soon as i saw the swatches for the OPI Burlesque collection i knew i neeeeeded(!) the glittery polishes! As there is 6 to chose from (& all rather gorgeous!) i was very sensible and only picked up 3 that appealed to me & i knew i would wear! As a Lorraine Stanick glittery nail style obviously!

As you can see they are all pretty special! I currently have show it and glow it on my tootsies, I currently have a sparkle-icious Lorraine-esque glittery nail with Barry M's Dusky Mauve and on Friday evening rocked the Bring on the Bling with Essies Haute as Hello!
