LUSH Goodies :)

Hi girlies,

I hope you all had an amazing christmas & all excited for the New Year! :)

All the hype on twitter definitely tempted me to realms of lush & im glad it did! I was wanting a few bits & bobs anyway so what better time to pick them up when their sale is on?

For those of you who dont know, (which im sure you do by now but i shall refresh your memories!) For every £20 you spend in Lush, it doesnt matter what you spend it on christmas goodies or normal products you got to choose a christmas gift for freee! :)

I know that in some stores you could choose a goodie bag full of christmas things for every £20 spent but that wasnt the case in my lush, it was christmas gift boxes only! I found out about this offer around christmas eve time & i knew for sure i wouldnt be stepping foot into town anytime around christmas/boxing day!

So i went in yesturday not expecting to be much left but im glad i did & im happy with what i came home with!

Heres what i picked up:

  • 'Sexy Boy' Massage Bar £4.95 - I love lushes massage bars, and this is limited edition so i had to pick it up! So cute!
  • 'Butterball' Bath Bomb £2.22 - Smells absolutely amazing!
  • 'Coal Face' Soap £5.01 - This is meant to be perfect for oily skin, so hopefully its going to keep my oil at bay! Smells like coal and licqourice! Excited to use this!
  • 'Big' Hair conditioner £9.60 - I cannot wait to try this! Have only heard good things about it! Hopefully it will make my hair super shiny! :)

As you can see my freebie was the starburst christmas box *Squeals* worth £24.95!

The starburst box contains:
  • Snow Fairy Shower gel 100gram
  • Fairy Tail Sugar Scrub
  • Candy Cane Bubble Bar
  • Snow Fairy Solid Perfume
  • Star Melt
  • Angel's Delight Moon Soap
  • Double Fast Luck Emotibomb

I absolutely love this box and i can honestly say i am one happy girlie! Angels delight soap, snow fairy & the star melt are my christmas lush favourites so i am really pleased i got the chance to pick this up!

Did you pick anything up from the lush sale?

My Small Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Collection + Swatches!

Hi girlies!
Feels like forever since ive posted! :) I have a haul post to show you all, but when have i not! hehe so i thought i would do something a little different & show you my small but growing MAC MSFs, some swatches & what i use them for!
I currently own 6 MSF's (which includes the MSF natural) & i absolutely love them! They are so sparkly, which i love!
Here they are...

Clockwise from top they are:
  • Smooth Merge (Trio colour one) - This is my most recent purchase from Tallulahbella's blog sale & i absolutely love it! It came out with the Colour craft collection & i use it all swirled together for a gorgeous, shimmery pink blush colour!
  • Sunny by Nature - This also came out with the colour craft collection and it is more matte and less shimmery than the other MSF's. I adore this colour and it makes an amazing bronzer
  • Cheeky Bronze - This is extremely shimmery & is a nice, pale bronze colour which i use as a bronzer
  • Porcelain Pink - Porcelain pink was a repromote which is limited edition and again came out with the colour craft collection. This is a gorgeous, pale pink and works really nice as i light flush of colour on the cheeks
  • Soft & Gentle - This is also a fairly new purchase and is from the permanent line so is still available. I ordered this online when i saw a picture of Paula with it on and she looked absolutely stunning! Its very shimmery, but works really well as a highlight colour
  • MSF Natural in Medium - What can i say about this powder? It is truely amazing! I use it every single day & i love it over any foundation! I would highly recommend this to everybody!
And the swatches :)

Left to right:
MSF Natural in medium, Soft & gentle, Smooth merge, Sunny by nature, Cheeky bronze, Porcelain pink
Hope you all enjoyed this! :) What are your views on MAC's Mineralize Skinfinishes?

My 5 Favourite Drugstore Lipsticks!

Hey girlies!
I stole this idea off Jo who started her own little 'tag' of her five favourite products including lipsticks and blushers! So thank you Jo and hope you enjoy!

I thought i would start off my 5 favourites with lipsticks! I only ever wore and bought my first lipstick a couple of months ago and from then - on i just cant get enough of them!
Whilst doing this post i have also realised that i have more high end lipsticks such as Mac and YSL than i do drugstore! Crazy! Especially seens as though i have only been collecting since the end of August!

So here goes.. My 5 favourite drugstore lipsticks!

  • Barry M lip paint No 146 'Dolly pink' - A fairly new purchase, love this though - makes a change from a nude lip and perfect for nights out!
  • Gosh Lipstick No 134 'Darling' - As you can probably tell this is well loved and i have plenty of back ups! My favourite lipstick ever!
  • Barry M lip paint No 101 'Marshmellow' - Hard to work with but when you know how can look amazing!
  • Natural Collection Lipstick 'Apple blossom' - Such a gorgeous colour and a bargain at £1.95!
  • E.LF mineral lipstick 'Natural nymph' - A new purchase which i love already! Think i may review it as i cant get enough of this and have already ordered aback up!
& the swatches to go with them

Left - right
Barry M Dolly pink, Gosh Darling, Barry M Marshmellow, Natural Collection Apple Blossom, ELF natural nymph.
As you can see i absolutely LOVE nude lipsticks, with a bright pink thrown in for good measure! :)
Look out for more of these as i hope to make them a regular feature!

Review: Lush 'Blackberry' Bath Bomb

Hi girlies!
I used this bath bomb recently and thought i would give you a quick review & my thoughts on it! :)

What lush says about this product:

'With bergamot, frankincense and berries for uplifting, grounding and fruity feelings. When you're feeling off colour and out of sorts, drop this Ballistic of purply goodness into the bath. In no time at all, the frisky scent of blackcurrant will tug at the corners of your mouth, pulling them towards your ears. Bergamot relieves tension and frankincense will wrap itself around you like a cosy blanket. All your cares will dissolve into a warming purple haze.'
Price: £2.56 for a 180g bomb
Overall verdict:
  • Smelled delicious
  • Turned the water a gorgeous bluey-purple colour
  • Left my skin soft
  • Smell lingered on my skin afterwards
  • The price - think £2.50 is a really good price
  • Stained the bath a little but nothing much to worry about!
Application: Just drop the bath bomb into the bath and it will fizz up and dissolve turning the water a gorgeous colour! :)
I loved this product, i personally think that bath bombs are one of the 'boring' products that lush offers as it doesnt really do much except fizz up and leave your water a nice colour! But this product smells gorgeous - really fruity, left my skin feeling really smooth afterwards and the smell lingered on my skin which i loved! It wasnt a overpowering scent either which is a bonus!
Would i buy it again: Absolutely! I havent tried many of the other lush bath bombs so i would probably purchase those first and work my around the others to see if there are any others i love! I think its a really good price for £2.56 and leaves you nice and relaxed after a long day!
Price: 4/5
Overall rating: 4/5
I picked up some other lush products recently so i will shortly be doing a collective haul soon and hopefully more reviews if you find them helpful? let me know!
Talk soon my lovlies!

Tag: I Hit Pan

Hi girlies,

I thought i would catch up on tags, as i dont have much to report and havent done much shopping for a while apart from some online goodies which havent arrived yet :)

I was actually tagged to do this one (yay!) by gorgeous Jo! This girl is amazing, great hauls & posts!

So the rules..

1. List 6 items that you have either 'hit pan' or finished the tub/tube bottle of etc and have or plan to repurchase for evenr and ever! This can be makeup, skincare, haircare, body care or scent.

2. Tag 6 people that you want to know their repurchases

3. Let those 6 people know by leaving a comment on their blog with a link so they know what to do
Here are my 6 items :)
Tigi S - Factor seriously straight spray

I have blogged about this before but this is the one haircare product that i absolutely love and will buy over and over again! I think that this is my 4th bottle! It lasts ages, and i spray it over my hair just after ive washed it. It smells absolutely amazing! It detangles the hair & keeps it super shiny! I absolutely love this so much!
GOSH lipstick in Darling 134
I adore this lipstick so much! I am a nude and pink lip girl all the way and out of all the lipsticks i own this is definately one of my favourites! It is so creamy and mositurising, doesnt dry out your lips and is the perfect nude colour! I am currently on my 2nd tube of this lipstick and i will use it forever and ever! Just as long as it doesnt get discontinued! But i have 2 back ups of this! (greedy but you have to take advantage of 3 for 2!)
Revlon Colorstay foundation
I am still on my first bottle of this foundation but i honestly love it and will repurchase as soon as i have finished, but maybe a slightly lighter shade as this is a little bit too dark for me! (This is why i hate buying foundation!) I love the medium coverage that it gives as i like the slightly heavier foundation. Love this!
Anna sui 'Dolly girl' Perfume
This was probably one of the very first perfumes that i purchased and i have bought a bottle every since. It smells so gorgeous, and my boyfriend loves it. He says it always reminds him of me as i was wearing it when we met. Which is a good thing as he is always open to buying me some! :)
Rimmel sexy curves mascara in black
Again, i have blogged about this already before but it deserves the love! I really like this mascara and i think i have repurchased it 3 times already and will keep on buying it until i found another i like just as much. I was sorting through my mascaras yesturday and such a majority of them were by rimmel and i honestly do think that they make the best mascaras.
Clean & Clear Blackhead cleanser
I have just bought this so at the minute my bottle is nearly full, but i have repurchased this twice in the past and use it almost every day. It makes me feel so clean and fresh but havent really seen an improvement on my blackheads, however i love this still!
So that is the 6 products that i have purchased more than once. I found this tag quite hard as i realised that i dont actually have many products that i buy and will re-purchase. I am always on the lookout for products that i love and will buy again and again!
I'm not going to tag particular people as i think i am a bit late on this tag bandwagon and think most people have either been tagged or have already done it.
So if you are reading this and want to do it, then i tag you!
Thank you so much for reading

Tag: Make Up Diary

I found this on Jo's blog and even though i havent been tagged to do it i thought i would as i havent posted for a while!

So here goes..

1. What time did you do your makeup today? At about 7.10am, had Uni at 9 so needed to be off by 8.00am!

2. What’s the least expensive beauty item you used? The Boots 17 eyeshadow in 'ivory coast' which retails for £3.42
3. What was the biggest problem you needed to correct? My eyebrows this morning look terrible, and needed sorting out!

4. Did you apply false eyelashes? No not for uni! lol, false eyelashes are only for nights out and special occasions!

5. Did you do anything while applying make-up? I watched GMTV :) as i do every morning without fail! lol!

6. Biggest make-up mishap today? Doing my eyelid eyeliner waaay to thick on one eye so had to take it off and do it again, including eyeshadow!

7. Did you have a makeup inspiration in mind? No not today, just a simple everyday look that would be suitable for a long day at Uni.

8. What was the most time-consuming part of your makeup routine? Probably my eyes today as i had to redo my eyeliner/eyeshadow!

9. What part of your routine is the most fun? Probably the contouring, bronzing & blush! These 3 together can completely change how you look.

10. What part of your make-up makes the biggest difference in the way you look? Deffinately eyelid eyeliner, I wear this everyday religiously and when i dont people tend to comment and i dont look awake as i do normally.

11. Neutral or colorful eyeshadow? Neutral eyeshadow today and most days!

12. Liquid or mineral foundation? Liquid foundation which today was the maybelline dream satin liquid, not the most impressed with this but really quick to apply!

13. Do you do your hair or make-up first? Make up first, then straighten my hair.

14. Did you pack a make-up bag to take with you for the day? No, i never actually carry make up around with me after i have done it, only lipstick thats why i like wearing and finding make up that will last all day for me.

15. When did you finish your make-up? About 7.40ish so it took my half an hour to do my hair and make up :)
Hope everyone is okay! Placed a MAC order yesturday so will hopefully have a haul coming soon! :)

A Little Advice Needed...OPI Polishes

Hey girls,
Ive decided to go ahead and purchase some of my first OPI nail polishes.
I will be ordering them from ebay as i have found a seller from the US who gives free worldwide delivery if you buy 10 or more polishes. (Lots of brands available including China Glaze & Essie).
The regular OPI nail polishes are approximately £4 & the Sephora OPI colours are £8.
So it will cost around £40 for 10 OPI nail polishes when the U.K price for one is £10!
The only problem i have is what colours to choose! They have so many gorgeous colours & im a bit stuck!
I have a few that i know i definately want! But they seem to be mostly pink & i wanted to go for something a bit different not just a variant of the same colour!
My definites so far are:
  1. Sephora 'Metro chic'
  2. Mod about you
  3. Done out in deco
  4. Elephantastic pink
  5. Lincoln after dark? Not too sure about this one!
Do you own any of these nail polishes? Or are there any colours by OPI that you would recommend?
Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks in advance guys
Also, if you want the name of the seller just let me know :)
